Gloucestershire police are appealing for witnesses after two youths set a car on fire in Tuffley last week.

CCTV footage shows the pair pouring fire accelerant on an Audi Q3 outside Tuffley Library on the morning of April 5 before setting it alight and melting the front half of the car.

They then ran off through Golden Close towards Holmleigh Road before being lost from sight.

The arson resulted in the car being written off, which costs at least £30,000 new.

Police were called to Ivory Close by the Fire Service at 9.40pm on Monday, April 5, and believe the incident occured around 9:30am.

The offenders are believed to be two youths who were wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV footage to please get in contact.
