Forestry England have announced that their Enchanted Christmas trail will be returning to Westonbirt, The National Arboretum this December, with an all-new theme and spectacular light displays.

An immersive sensory experience awaits visitors with the announcement of an almighty storm that has separated Father Christmas from his Reindeer among the trees at Westonbirt Arboretum. Not even Rudolph’s bright red nose can guide them back together. Father Christmas needs help to be reunited with his Reindeer, recover lost presents, and save Christmas!

This magical Christmas experience will take visitors on a night-time journey through the woodland as they set out on a quest to search for the lost Reindeer. As they wind their way along the path, visitors will find themselves transported into a magical world, surrounded by twinkling lights and sparkling illuminations.

Paul Cody, Head of Visitor Attraction at Westonbirt Arboretum said: "We are very excited to be bringing a new, thrilling, immersive experience to Enchanted Christmas this year. December is a very busy time for Father Christmas, and we know how important his Reindeer are to deliver presents to children all over the world on Christmas Eve. We are confident our visitors have the skills to locate all the lost Reindeer in our magical woodland."

Due to popular demand, tickets are available through advance booking only, and can be booked by visiting www.forestryengland.uk/westonbirt/enchanted-christmas

Hannah Ward, Event Manager at Westonbirt Arboretum said: "Now in its 23rd year, Enchanted Christmas is one of the highlights in our calendar here at Westonbirt; since its beginnings as a small trail with a few simple lights, it has grown to be one of the best Christmas light displays in the UK.

"Our mission here at the arboretum is to connect people with trees, and we are always looking for unusual and creative ways to do this. This year’s family adventure will appeal to both children and adults alike with stunning light displays, trees lit up beautifully and an enchanting mission to complete. It will blow you away… literally.’
