The man charged with robberies at the McDonald’s and Miss Millie’s restaurants in Yate in February is due to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court today after pleading guilty to five charges.
Rudi Batten, 22 of Station Road, Yate, appeared at Bristol Crown Court in March and pleaded guilty on two counts of robbery, two counts of having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and one count of possessing a knife or blade in a public place.
Batten robbed Miss Millie's on the evening of Sunday, February 7 before evening targeted the Mcdonald's restaurant the next morning. A manhunt followed before Batten was arrested later that day.
