Fire crews from across South Gloucestershire tackled a large fire at a school in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Crews from Kingswood, Hicks Gate, Temple, Bedminster, Patchway, Avonmouth, Southmead, Nailsea, Weston, Bath, and Thornbury were called to Tower Road, Warmley at 12.30am.
On arrival they found a large fire across parts of the building spanning across four teaching blocks ranging from one to three floors high.
The fire is believed to have occurred at The Grange School, which closed in 2016. The nearby Digitech Studio School has announced it is closed today.
Digitech will be closed today. There has been a fire at the Grange. Police have instructed us to close the school for today. Apologies for any inconvenience. Work to be set on Show my Homework.

At its height, firefighters used six breathing apparatus for safety, and four 45mm jets to extinguish the fire. The turntable ladder was also used to help firefighters tackle the fire from height.
Crews also used specialist equipment such as the High Volume Pump to ensure an adequate water supply was delivered to the scene.
Four appliances remain on scene including one turntable ladder, with crews continuing to dampen down.
Police crews were also in attendance and enquiries are ongoing. The cause is currently unknown, with a fire investigation due to take place.
