Cam’s Neighbourhood Development Plan is due to be voted on today (Thursday, May 6).
The Neighbourhood Plan is a document which gives the community more control in the planning of its neighbourhood by shaping new developments in Cam in the future.
At the elections, the question “Do you want Stroud District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Cam to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood area?” will be asked.
You vote by putting a cross (X) in the ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ box on the ballot paper.
The plan took five years to produce and is a collaboration between all residents of Cam Parish, local councillors and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
It helps protect Cam's open spaces, trees and other valued assets. It steers the way new build houses will look and the type of materials acceptable to use to build them.
