WOTTON Rovers Football Club is to pay tribute to Blackpool youngster Jordan Banks who was killed after being struck by lightning.
The nine-year-old was struck while playing his beloved football on Tuesday night.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly couldn't be saved and died shortly after.
A spokesman for Wotton Rovers said: "After the recent death of nine year old Jordan Banks, Wotton Rovers will be paying tribute to this brave little boy whose life was tragically cut short while doing what he loved most, playing football."
On Saturday, Wotton Rovers' first team will be playing against Painswick, at Synwell with a 3pm kick off .
A minute silence will be held prior to the game and the number 7 shirt will remain hung in the changing room as a tribute to Jordan's memory.
The spokesman added: "Wotton Rovers will also be donating all match fees and money made on the day to Jordan's Legacy, a GoFundMe page that has been set up to help support his family at this difficult time.
"So make sure you bring along any loose change you have for our fundraising buckets.
