A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car towing a caravan in the Forest of Dean on Monday.
The rider, a man in his 70s from Hampshire, was declared dead at the scene by emergency services.
The incident, which happened on the A40 close to Dursley Cross Farm, Longhope shortly after midday, involved a motorbike and a car towing a caravan.
The driver of the car received minor injuries and the passenger was unhurt.
The road was closed for around seven hours and police are now appealing for any further witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.
A number of people stopped to offer help following the collision and officers would like to thank them for their support.
