Octopus Drama Group’s second radio play will air in the next few days.

Senior Moments will be broadcast on Thornbury Radio on Sunday, and then repeated on Tuesday.

It follows on from the group’s first successful radio play, The C Word, which was produced at the height of last year’s lockdown after the group was unable to rehearse for their onstage productions.

Senior Moments is a one-act comedy play written by Steven Yeo and Simon Ives.

The pair have also been responsible for directing and editing the play, which was recorded under strict Covid regulations.

This meant recording each character’s part separately and then editing it all together afterwards.

The play tells the story of married couple Bill and Dotty, who love to dress up and generally cause mayhem.

Everything they do seems to end up with a visit from the police, paramedics or animal control, to the complete dismay of their stressed out daughter Erica who is trying desperately to look after them.

The premiere of the play will air on Thornbury Radio FM (105.1 or 107.5 FM) on Sunday, July 4 at 7pm. There will then be a repeat on Tuesday, July 6 at 7pm.
