Thornbury firefighters were called after a six-acre field of cut hay caught alight this afternoon.
Crews from Thornbury and Patchway attended the incident on Woodend Lane, between Hill and Rockhampton, at 2.40pm.
Three high pressure hose reels and beaters were used to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.
