STUDENTS at a senior school in Yate were treated to a surprise visit to end the school year in style.
X factor winners Rak-su surprised students at Yate academy on Monday as the school saw the return of their traditional end of year Celebration Day.
Students enjoyed a number of activities such as bouncy castles, rounders, karaoke and a very special visit from X Factor winners, Rak Su. The band wowed students with a performance that had been kept secret from students until Monday morning. They then took the time to sign postcards for students and posed for some photographs.
Associate Headteacher, Natalie Wilcox said, “After a difficult year, it was important to mark the end with a proper celebration and the students really deserved this treat. When the had the chance to bring in Rak Su, we jumped at it and the students really loved it. I couldn’t be prouder of how the students conducted themselves and they were a credit to themselves, to us and their families.”
