Train services in the Bristol and Severn Beach area will be disrupted in the coming weeks as Great Western Railway staff are hit by the 'pingdemic'.
The operator has announced that an amended timetable will be in place from Monday after a 'significant' number of staff were forced to self-isolate.
From July 26 to August 13, Bristol-Weston-super-Mare local services will not run on weekdays and Saturdays. Instead the Bristol-Taunton services will call additional at stations between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare.
On Saturday, August 7 and August 9-13, a rail replacement service will be in operation between Lawrence Hill and Severn Beach.
And from July 26 to August 6, the following services will not run between Bristol Parkway and London Paddington.
- 09:18 London Paddington-Bristol Parkway
- 14:15 London Paddington-Bristol Parkway
- 12:24 Bristol Parkway-London Paddington
- 17:28 Bristol Parkway-London Paddington
Services that are in operation are set to be busier than usual. If your service is affected you can choose to travel on alternative services immediately before or after, or claim a refund.
Trains to Devon and Cornwall also face disruption during this period.
