Rain couldn’t dampen the spirits at Krunch South West’s fun community event on Saturday.
Although the annual skate competition had to be postponed, there were still plenty of family friendly activities taking place at The Pod, next to Thornbury Skate Park.
Circus skills and graffiti art were a big hit with the young people, while music was provided by local DJs.
Plenty of families came along for some entertainment on a rainy afternoon, and Krunch’s team of youth workers and volunteers were on hand to ensure everyone had a good time.
Krunch have been providing activities all summer for local young people from their base at the skate park, supported by South Gloucestershire Council’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme.
Sessions have included outdoor games and sports, art workshops, dance and vocals, bushcraft and a survival skills team challenge.
From September Krunch’s weekly youth clubs will resume at Turnberries Community Centre, for young people in school years 6 and over. For more info see krunch.org.uk or email penny@krunch.org uk.
