A Gloucestershire pub is promising popcorn and pints as it launches its own cinema.

The Salutation Inn at Ham, near Berkeley, will be screening a mixture of classic and cult-classic films - beginning with Back to the Future on Monday.

Films will be shown every other Monday, with Withnail and I, Amelie, Rocketman, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and When Harry Met Sally also on the schedule.

Fancy dress evenings and films relevant to the time of year are also planned at the cinema, named the Last Orders Picture House.

Landlord Peter Tiley has purchased a projector and sound system and decked out the pub's newly refurbished skittles alley with vintage deckchairs and beanbag sofas.

He has also bought a popcorn machine and a carton of free homemade popcorn will be given out with every ticket.

Sweets, chocolate and ice cream will also be available along with the usual beers and ciders.

Peter said: "We're really excited to be launching the Last Orders Picture House here at the Sally.

"It's been something we've wanted to do with the skittles alley for a long time as it's the perfect space for hosting a cinema.

"Now we have repainted the room, replaced the carpets and put new light fittings in so we're really pleased with the space we have.

"Our aim is to make the cinema evenings as relaxed, sociable and as fun as possible.

"Most people would have already seen a lot of these films, or be able to watch them at home but there's something really lovely about making a night out of it and watching them with a group of friends in a comfortable setting with, of course, great beer and cider on tap!"

Tickets are £7.50 including popcorn and are on sale behind the bar now or online at eventbrite.co.uk/e/last-orders-picture-house-back-to-the-future-tickets-173634534567
