GLOUCESTERSHIRE firefighters rescued a cow that fell into the River Severn yesterday morning (Tuesday).
The cow was stuck in the river at the village of Chaceley, which is located between Gloucester and Tewkesbury.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service sent one fire engine with a boat from Gloucester South fire station and the specialist incident support unit and a fire engine from Gloucester North fire station - altogether three vehicles, plus the boat.
The team managed to safely retrieve the cow, which was uninjured, from the river.
A fire service spokesman said: "We received the call about the incident at 11.10am on Tuesday.
"One cow was assisted from the river by the crews and was uninjured.
"The last appliance returned at 1.35pm."
