A FORMER Gloucestershire chief fire officer is due to appear in court next week to stand trial for one count of fraud by abuse of position.
Stewart Edgar, 53 and of Braehead Drive, Carnoustie, Angus in Scotland is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday 11 October.
Mr Edgar is alleged to have sold a Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service Land Rover to a company he was connected to for £500, turning down a separate offer of more than £8,000.
The alleged sale took place in April 2018.
