The trial of a 16-year-old boy accused of murdering a teenager at a sports ground in Cam, has been delayed until next week.
Joshua Hall, 17, died after sustaining stab wounds at Cam Sports Club in April.
The case was set to be heard at Gloucester Crown Court, but has been postponed after one of the legal team tested positive for Covid.
The judge, Mr Justice Chamberlain, made the decision after he was told that the prosecutor, Richard Smith QC, had tested positive for Covid-19 using a lateral flow and was awaiting the results of a PSR test.
The current jury will be discharged, the judge said.
The 16-year-old defendant, who denies the murder charge, was wearing a dark suit, and listened intently to proceedings from the dock.
He was 15 at the time of the incident and cannot be named for legal reasons.
The court will make a final decision on when the trial begins at a second hearing later today.
