Thornbury Town FC are seeking funding to allow them to extend and upgrade their hospitality facilities.

Following their recent promotion to the Premier Division of the Hellenic League, the club is required to cater to a new, higher standard.

With planning permission agreed with the relevant landowners and authority, Thornbury Town are continuing to seek financial support to extend their club house and ensure they are able to maximise the hospitality they can offer.

Thornbury and Yate MP Luke Hall recently met with Pete Webber and Graham Smith, chairman and vice-chairman respectively, for a tour of the club’s facilities and to hear about their ambitions for the future.

Thornbury Town has three adult teams, including their newly-promoted first team and a comprehensive junior section covering Under 6s to Under 18s.

Luke Hall said: “It was fantastic to hear about the club’s exciting ambitions and projects for the future, and I will be doing everything in my power to ensure the club receives the funding that they need.

“It is always a pleasure to visit our local football clubs which are vital to our community and I am hugely grateful to the board at Thornbury Town FC for inviting me to see the club’s ground and facilities.”

Thornbury are currently on the lookout for volunteers to help out on home match days, as well as a first team physio. Anyone interested should contact Pete Webber at pete_webber@hotmail.com
