OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary which took place in Wotton-under-Edge yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 23 November.

Police were called to a house on Bearlands shortly after 3.05pm with a report that three men, who were in possession of weapons, had forced entry to a property.

They are understood to have threatened the occupants and asked where any money was before searching the rooms and stealing a mobile phone.

The victims were not physically injured but shaken up by the ordeal.

The group are believed to have gained access by climbing over the garden fence and smashing a patio door before leaving in the direction of Nind Lane.

Armed officers attended and searched the area however those involved were not located.

The offenders are thought to be three men aged in their twenties who were wearing all black clothing and face coverings.

They were described as follows:

• Man one: mixed race and was wearing dark trainers, dark Puma bottoms, a hooded gilet and hat

• Man two: white and of a slim build

• Man three: white, of a larger build and around 5ft 6ins tall.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information, anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area or has CCTV footage they feel may be relevant is asked to contact police.
