DURSLEY Friends at Christmas will once again be hosting guests on Christmas Day.

Organised by Churches Together in Cam, Dursley and District, the team will be cooking for and entertaining guests at Dursley Methodist Church from 12pm to 2.30pm.

"So you don’t need to be alone this Christmas," said Martin Gregg, one of the event's organisers.

"Due to Covid restrictions, we are only getting together on Christmas Day and we are limiting numbers to 40 guests," he added.

"There will be the usual fun and festivities – a Christmas dinner, with a vegetarian option available, plus entertainment and good company. And all guests will receive a goody bag to take away."

There is no charge to attend the event.

Transport is available to get there and back, thanks to a team of volunteer drivers, but it must be booked in advance

"If you know somebody who will be lonely on Christmas Day and would like to be a guest, or if you would like to help as a volunteer, do get in touch," said Martin.
