A elderly homeowner has been burgled twice in as many days after groups of men forced entry into the property.

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information following the two incidents that happened to a property off Campden Lane in Guiting Power.

A group of men first forced their way into a property on Monday morning (January, 10) after they arrived in a silver estate or SUV. They entered the porch and stole a handbag and car keys. This happened at around 10.30am.

Officers attended and conducted house to house enquiries as well as gathering and reviewing CCTV footage.

The second incident took place on Wednesday (January, 12 where a group smashed a bedroom window before stealing jewellery.

This happened between 7pm and 9pm and the stolen pieces included a square shaped yellow gold signet ring which belonged to a relative and is of great sentimental value as well as a small brooch.

Investigating officers are working to establish if the same group were involved in both incidents.

Three men, aged 18, 19 and 22 were arrested on suspicion of dwelling burglary and have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries. The 19-year-old was also arrested for being in possession of class B drugs and released.

Officers are asking anyone with information who has not already spoken to police to come forward as well as anyone who has seen a silver SUV, estate or similar vehicle acting suspiciously or been offered the stolen jewellery.
