The teenager who fatally stabbed Josh Hall at Cam Sports Club last year can now be named as Harley Demmon.
Before handing Demmon a 14-year sentence at Gloucester Crown Court today, the judge announced he was lifting an anonymity order in place under section 45 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act.
This followed submissions from members of the press that it was in the public interest to do so.
Demmon was 15 at the time of the offence, but is now 16. The anonymity order would have expired when he turned 18, had it not been lifted today.
Full court report to follow.
