Yate Park and Ride on Badminton Road has officially opened today.
The site promises all day parking with buses into Bristol City Centre, Yate and Chipping Sodbury every thirty minutes.
Cyclist parking is also available and the site is an eight-minute walk from Yate Train Station cycle parking available
Bus passengers will be able to travel from Yate Park and Ride into Bristol City Centre and Yate and Chipping Sodbury using the Y1 First bus service.
The new £4.5 million transport hub p will be open seven days a week (excluding bank holidays) and includes 198 parking spaces and cycle parking for 46 bikes, as well as improved bus stops.
In the coming months further facilities will be installed at the park and ride including 38 electric vehicle (EV) charge points, a car club and click and collect lockers.
Last week Thornbury and Yate MP Luke Hall said: “Improving local transport connections is a major part of our Positive Plan for South Gloucestershire and this important piece of transport infrastructure will go a long way towards keeping Yate moving.”
