HALF of the large willow tree at Kingshill Cemetery in Dursley fell down as a result of the recent storms.
Urgent tree maintenance was carried out at the cemetery on Monday and a tree surgeon working on behalf of Dursley Town Council assessed whether the remaining half of the tree could be saved.
A decision was made to reduce the part of the willow that remained, to ensure its safety.
The tree surgeon also replanted part of the tree which had fallen, which should grow and in time take the place of the existing tree.
