A Gloucestershire man says he is 'very grateful' to have won a car worth £30,000.

Gareth Langdon, from Stone, is now the proud owner of a brand-new Honda HR-V, Hybrid Powertrain.

Fifty families were offered 48-hour loans of the new car in a campaign called the Real World Review. Successful entrants were then invited to share their reviews and experiences of their time spent with the self-charging SUV, with all those that did so entered into a prize-draw for the chance to keep the car for free.

Gareth was at home with his wife and daughter when he found out he was the lucky winner.

“Thank you very much, this is absolutely superb,” he said.

“I started to look at small SUVs, and I thought I’d find out some more information about the HR-V, so I signed up for the newsletter and that’s where I found out about the Real World Review.

"I thought that the opportunity to possibly drive one for two days was just better than going to a dealer for an hour’s test drive.

"The experience was hands above everything else I’d driven, so I’m very grateful for the win.”

The car with additionally modified by Honda to fit Gareth’s mobility needs.

“It is always important to get a specific car that fits my mobility needs and the Honda HR-V is perfect as it’s so easy to get in and out of," added Gareth.

"I have to drive an adapted vehicle, and because the HR-V is so new, there wasn’t an adaption available, so Honda kindly sorted this out for me and it’s been delivered with the adaption and I’ve very grateful."
