A YELLOW weather warning has been in place for Yate and the surrounding areas due to the gusty winds. 

These winds are expected to continue throughout the afternoon and evening with disruptions likely. 

They are expected to last until at least 6pm tonight.

  • Some delays to road, rail and air transport are likely
  • Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
  • Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely

Today:

A windy day with sunny spells. Blustery showers will arrive in the afternoon and these may be heavy at times with hail. Feeling rather cold in the gusty northerly wind. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Showers and strong winds fading this evening to leave a largely dry night. However, a rain will move into the south coast to affect the far south of the region. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Friday:

Rain will clear in the morning to leave sunshine and showers in the afternoon, possibly with hail at times. Feeling chilly. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Sunny spells on Saturday, perhaps the odd shower, still feeling cold. Dry on Sunday with sunny spells and feeling cold. Less cold on Monday but cloudy with outbreaks of rain.
