A PUB in Yate that has been empty for over two years has sold for almost three quarters of a million pounds.

The White Lion on Church Road finally sold in April after going on the market in February and the property agents confirmed it has been bought by another pub company.

Fleurets, the estate agents managing the dwelling initially advertised the dwelling a a leasehold property available for rent last year, but after no offers- the property went onto the freehold market and sold for £725,000.

They have confirmed the pub has been bought by another pub company, not a sole buyer.

No completion date has been given so the sale is currently subject to contract.

Dating back to the late 17th century, the pub has been hugely extended over the years and now has ten letting rooms as well as capacity to complete 200 covers inside or almost 400 if the outside is also utilised.

The pub also has a commercial kitchen and cold store- two bars a function room, two spacious beer gardens and a large car park with room for 55 vehicles.
