AN ELDERLY lady was attacked by another woman as she got off a bus on her way to Southmead Hospital.
The offending woman was having an argument with the bus driver before attacking the elderly woman as she stepped off of the bus in Southmead on Sunday, April 3.
The 68-year-old victim had made a comment to te driver as she exited the bus on Southmead Road near the Bear & Rugged Staff Pub, the woman then followed and assaulted her, leaving her upset and distressed.
Police are now investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The woman had disembarked the number 2 bus at around noon when she was attacked by another woman. She was walking to Southmead Hospital to visit a patient.
"The offender is described as being a white female in her 50s.
"She is described as around 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build with mousey blonde hair. She was wearing grey trousers, a dark grey jacket with the hood up and was carrying an orange carrier bag.
"If you witnessed the incident or the events leading up to or after, please contact 101 and give reference number 5222078642 to the call handler."
