ARE you planning a Queen's Platinum Jubilee street party or event?

Are you knitting special corgi teddy bears to producing a brilliant Royal cake to mark the occasion then we would like to hear about it for a special supplement next week.

Stroud District Council has so fare received over 40 applications for street parties.

“Stroud District Council waived the cost of street party road closures to enable communities to get together and celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

"Approximately 40 applications were received before the deadline on 22 April. A page on the SDC website has been created with advice about how to plan a street party, and whether other licenses may be required, for example if alcohol will be on sale, or amplified music played. "There is a simple online event notification form will allow officers to get in touch and offer relevant advice to organisers, including whether licences must be applied for.

“The Ocean railway bridge near Stonehouse, which was replaced as part of the Cotswold Canals Connected partnership, will be renamed as the Ocean Jubilee Bridge to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
