More than 25 people gave police the name of a man they were keen to identify after a boy was attacked on a bus travelling to Yate.
Police have confirmed they have now interviewed a man in connection with the assault of a 15-year-old boy who was assaulted on a bus travelling between Staple Hill and Yate in April.
Officers released CCTV images in their appeal for help to identify a 'drunk' man who reportedly hit the child after demanding money from him at around 7pm on April, 12.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "More than 25 people subsequently got in touch providing us with a man's name.
"A 37-year-old man has since voluntarily attended a police station for interview.
"We'd like to thank all those who contacted us as well as everyone who helped by sharing our appeal."
The force have confirmed enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
