A new system to make sure that watches, glasses, false teeth, hearing aids and other items don't get lost as patients move around Great Western Hospital is being trialed.
Swindon's main hospital has introduced new patient property boxes across its wards and departments.
The boxes are bright yellow and will be personalised with the patient's details and which items the patient has.
"They will be particularly useful for when patients are moving around the hospital or going to procedures or surgery," the hospital said in a Faceook post announcing the new boxes.
"We will be evaluating the benefits in a few months' time and hope to see a reduction in the number of items going missing."
It is not known the scale of the issue of missing items at the hospital, but the trust has had previously had issues with number plates and catalytic convertors being taken from cars in the car park.
