OUR Trader of the week this week is Wayne Miller and his team at House of Piri - a family run market unit selling traditional Portuguese style Piri Piri.

Located in the heart of Five Valleys Indoor Market, House of Piri has become locally loved for its deliciously cooked Piri Piri chicken.

We caught up with Wayne to see what it takes to run his spicy business.

What is your full name? Wayne Miller

What is the name and address of your business? House of Piri, Unit 2, Five Valleys Market, Stroud.

Are you the owner of the business? Yes

What do you sell/ service provide? We sell traditional Portuguese Piri Piri chicken, served in a range of dishes including burgers, wraps and dirty fries.

What is your company ethos? We pride ourselves on making sure all of our dishes and sauces are made daily in-house, keeping our food as fresh and tasty as possible.

What is the bestselling item? We have become renowned for our signature “dirty fries”. Skin on fries, dusted in our secret Piri-salt and topped with juicy chicken breast, smoked bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, Piri-mayonnaise, and crispy fried onions. It’s a glorious mash of flavour!

What is the weirdest thing you have been asked for? We do come across some interesting people in Stroud. We have been asked for dirty fries without the fries and even if we sell fish and chips!

What is Stroud like as a place to operate in? We love working in Five Valleys and Stroud. We get such a wide range of people visiting us, no day is ever the same. We are a people first kind of business and love to get to know our customers on a personal level - having a good time at work is always a priority.
