Column by Stroud MP Siobhan Baillie.

It is the jubilee bank holidays and like many people across Stroud, the Valleys and Vale, I am excited to be celebrating the Queen’s amazing 70-year reign.

The whole constituency has rallied behind this landmark event that will never happen again in our lifetimes and there are many celebrations organised.

I have the pleasure of visiting as many events as I can during the four-day jubilee holiday. I hope to see you at some of them as I whizz around.

Some events have already taken place such as the Jubilee Trail and Tea Party at Randwick Scout Hut last Saturday.

But others celebrations are about to happen and they include the following where people have got in touch with my team:

The Cider & Sausage Festival at the Old Badger Inn, Eastington is on for the whole four days.

Chalford Hill Street Party is on Saturday 4th June with entertainment through the day.

There is a Tea Party in Mortimer Gardens, Nailsworth on Saturday 4th June.

Plant a tree for the jubilee is taking place at Scarlet House Care Home on Sunday 5th June.

And there is a Sunday Jubilee Singalong at The Ram Inn, the Ridge Bussage on 5th June.

This list is far from exhaustive and I apologise to those missed but I could not possibly list them all.

I want to extend my thanks to everybody who has taken the time to organise events - whether they are in your house or garden or for the whole street or village. I know everyone is going to have a great time.
