Travellers have set up camp on a school field in Yate.
Fifteen caravans and a number of other vehicles have pitched up on the rugby and football playing fields at Brimsham Green Secondary school in Broad Lane, Yate.
The group has caravans pitched around the outside of the field, just metres from the school buildings.
Officers from Avon and Somerset Police visited the site this morning, Wednesday, and said they had spoken with the group.
The Gazette has contacted the force and South Gloucestershire Council for comment.
