THE manager of Yate Town XI for when they meet Manchester United at the South West Interiors stadium, has revealed his squad for the legends match.

Rich Thompson will field the home side at Lodge Road in a game that will see former Bluebells up against players from premier league winning side Manchester United. 

Five times Premier League title and two times Champions League winner Wes Brown will lead a host of ex-Manchester United favourites in the community match against Yate Town XI legends on July 24.

Rich, who managed the side for ten years taking the club from the Hellenic to the Southern Premier League as now named his full squad and the experienced Yate side of past players are set to put on a show.

Club and fan favourite Tony Court will put the number one shirt back on for his former club, as the legendary goalkeeper returns to the stadium, in the match sponsored by CL Electrical.

Lee Jefferies, Shane Andrews, Scott Brice, Steve Jenkins, Mark Summers and Andy Neal are set to return in various positions across the back.

In midfield, Gary Hewlett, Paul Chenoweth, Adam Simms, Paul Dempsey, Paul Metheringham, Jason Wood and Ashley Williams are hoping to cause some problems for the united legends and playing upfront for the home side will be some of Yate's finest forwards including Martin Boyle, Darren Edwards, Aaron Blakemore and Justin Pritchard.

Rich will head up the coaching team alongside Lee Barlass, Mike Wyatt, Dave Lukins, Steve Carter and after leaving at the end of last season, ever-popular club kit man Gary Webb will also return.

Commercial manager Mark Thorne said: "This game is set to be outstanding, the calibre of our players is unbeleivable and i think we are going ot give these Man United legends a big shock.

 "There are a small number of tickets still available, we are hoping to sell out, we hope to see as many people attend the South West Interiors Stadium to support their local club."
