BRISTOL harbourside contains many great attractions for a family day out.
You can visit the Bristol Aquarium, take in a film at the Watershed or go on a Banksy walking tour.
Although as the port of Bristol it was once a busy dock the harbour is now a tourist attraction with museums, galleries, exhibitions, bars and nightclubs.
It is located a mere 10 minute walk from the city centre and twenty minutes away from Bristol Temple Meads.
Upcoming events at the harbourside this weekend include an event to mark the 60th anniversary of Jamaican Independence, a cider tasting tour and the Bristol comedy cabaret.
The anniversary of Jamaican independence takes place over the weekend, from Friday, August 5, until Sunday, August 7 with events at the Watershed.
Starting at 1pm and finishing at 3pm, the cider tasting tour is at Arnolfini Arts on Saturday, August 6 - see here.
The Bristol comedy cabaret is also on Saturday, taking place between 8pm and 9.45pm at PRYZM - see here.
