Worcester Raiders debut appearance in the FA Cup has arrived as they make the trip to Daventry Town this Saturday afternoon.

Raiders, newly promoted to Step 5, come up against a side from the level above in Daventry, who finished 16th in the Northern Premier League Midlands division last season.

It's a big ask for the Worcester side but, after kicking off their league campaign with a 5-1 win on Wednesday night, assistant manager Tyrone Henderson is looking forward to the occasion.

"It will be very tough ask down at Daventry," said Henderson.

"They will be a very physical side so we have to go there and try do what we did against fairford and give it a good go

"I have never managed a team in the FA cup so its going to be great for me personally and great one for the club.

"We have to just make sure we go there and get a result and then get ourselves that big tasty game against Worcester City, potentially."

The winner of the tie, as Henderson eluded to, will play the winner of the clash between Malvern Town and Worcester City, which takes place on Saturday.

Any draw on the day will mean a replay taking place next week, on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
