FIREFIGHTERS tackling a lorry blaze on a trading estate in Yate say they had to cut the side of the vehicle to extinguish it.
Crews from Temple, Yate, Kingswood, Patchway and Hicks Gate were called to reports of a lorry fire 5.40pm at Dynamic Storage in Stover Road, Yate.
Eleven firefighters wearing breathing apparatus crews used a jet, a boundary cooling monitor, two pressure hose reels, and one fog spike to extinguish the blaze in the lorry by cutting the sides off to access the fire.
The crews along with two thermal imaging cameras and two gas monitors to ensure that the scene was safe.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service said the cause was unknown.
