The location of last night’s huge field fire which could be seen from Cam Peak, Stroud, Nailsworth, Malmesbury and parts of Cirencester has been revealed.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service had to use six water pumps to deal with the incident at Cherington on Tarlington Road after being called at 5pm.
The fire spread to 40 haybales across 50 acres of farmland.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 5.03pm on Wednesday, 10 August, to reports of haybales on fire in a field off Tarlton Road, in Cherington.
“Six fire engines from Gloucestershire attended along with a water carrier and used hose reels to extinguish the fire.
“The fire had spread to 40 haybales and 50 acres of field. The stop signal was received at 5.58am on Thursday, 11 August.”
