A MAN has been ordered to pay almost £700 after being caught without a train ticket at Yate railway station.
24-year-old Laurk Hazwin-Marion of Shakespear Avenue in Bristol was caught Yate station on March 29 having travelled on the Great Western Railway, without a ticket that would have cost £15.40.
It was proved n his absence on August 2 at Bristol Magistrates that Hazin-Marion didn't have the necessary fare and had intended to avoid payment of the ticket.
Hazwin-Marion was fined £440, ordered to pay £15.40 in compensation, a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £180.
The full balance of £679.40 had to be settled by September 19.
