YATE Town started lively at John Rendells first game in charge at the South West Interiors Stadium.

Rendell had made a a series of new signings ahead of Saturday's clash with midfielder Darren Mullings, who signed after 127 appearances for Salisbury, named in the starting lineup. 

Fan favourite Zak Drew took on the job of being up front, as the bluebells dominated the opening minutes.

Drew created the first chance of the game after he got past his man to shoot straight at Harrow's keeper. Drews next attempt, a free kick just outside the penalty area was also saved.

On the 28th minute a corner by Liban Ibrahim found Pierce Mitchell who headed towards the back post where fellow centre back Toby Raison headed home on the goal line.

Just six minutes later Harrow's Montel Brown found the back of the net after Martin Horsell fumbled making it 1-1.

On the 43rd minute Harrow doubled their lead through George Moore a curling strike into the far corner a moment of magic from the Harrow winger.

Yate levelled on the 54th minutes after a superb free kick from Drew gave Jack Stanley a brilliant diving header.

Rendell made his first substitute with new signing Dylan Lewis replaced  Liban Ibrahim.

On the 60th minute Yate got their third of the game through Tyler Ashmead, after great pressing from himself and Zak Drew to win the ball back, Ashmead curled it in from the edge of the area. 

As the temp rose Harrow managed to grab a third in the 67th minute, a shot from Billy Leonard took a massive deflection then flew into the top corner putting the score at 3-3.

John Rendell said in his post match interview: It was an overall satisfying performance, we asked for commitment and dedication to want to win the game- I think we showed that."
