Two pubs in Gloucestershire have been named in a list of 68 of the best places to get a Sunday roast in England, by Muddy Stilettos.

Minchinhampton’s The Crown Inn and The Green Dragon Inn in Cockleford both feature in the list.

If you’re looking for somewhere new to get a roast dinner while you’re out and about, these two pubs could be ones to add to your to-visit list.

The Crown Inn, Minchinhampton

Muddy Stilettos says this pub has “mouth-watering roasts” with “prime cuts of meat, larger-than-life Yorkshires, and (of course) lashings of gravy”.

The blog says the pub welcomes both families and dogs plus it has a “tasty nut roast option for vegetarians”.

The Green Dragon Inn, Cockleford

This pub won the Muddy’s Best Destination Pub award in 2021 and Muddy Stilettos says that is “all the more reason to tuck into the best cuts of local turkey, beef and lamb or a vegetable cutlet, all pretty reasonably priced (£15.95).”

The blog explains that kids are welcome with smaller roast dinners available at £8.95.
