A DRIVER has been fined for using a phone while driving on the M5.
Nicholas Tindall, 49, was caught using a mobile phone while driving a white Mercedes Sprinter van on the M5 between junction 13 and 14 on September 8 last year.
This was contrary to Road Vehicles Regulations 1986, the Road Traffic Act 1988 and the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Tindall, of Sicey Avenue, Sheffield, was fined £220, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £88 surcharge and £90 costs.
This brings the total to £398 which has to be paid in full by April 11.
The case was heard at Bath Magistrates' Court on February 14.
