YATE TOWN football club are calling out for the support of the local fans as the team battle to stay in the Southern Premier league premier.

The bluebells are currently sitting fourth from bottom and remain at risk of relegation after suffering a number of losses in recent games, not gaining a single point in the last six games.

In a bid to give the team a much-needed lift, new chairman Mark Thorne is urging locals to get behind the them as they take on Hartley Witney, at the South West Interiors stadium tomorrow.

Chairman Mark said: “Calling all Yate Town football club supporters your club needs you, we have some massive home games coming up, starting with tomorrow's game against Hartley Wintney.

“I urge you to come down and get behind the club and give John and his players the support they need to help fight off relegation from the Southern Premier league," said Mr Thorne. 

Hartley Witney are currently bottom of the league table with 24 points from 33 games, with Yate Town on 28 points from the same number of games.

Hendon and North Leigh join them at the bottom but both have games in hand.

Tickets on the turnstiles for the game are £10 for adults, £5 for under 18s and £2 for under 11s.
