FAMILIES, dog-lovers, and organisers have hailed Dursley's first-ever charity spring fair as a howling success.

Visitors and their furry friends enjoyed dozens of stalls at the event on Saturday (March 11) with crafts, refreshments and upcycled toys.

More than a dozen pooches took part in an agility course, posed for professional photographs and met up with police search dog Marshall.

Organised by Cotswold Dogs and Cats Home, the event took place at the Chantry Centre.

A charity spokesperson said: “The CDCH spring fair was a huge success for our charity, local businesses and the local community.

“It was a joy to see children engaging with the police and their dogs!

“We are looking forward to next year’s spring fair already.”
