A house in Swindon is on the market for only £80,000 but is listed as 'requiring modernisation'.

The property on Ferndale Road is owned by Swindon Borough Council and has been vacant for some time.

It is set to be auctioned for the low price of well under £100,000 on Thursday, July 6.

Photos of the inside property show a very outdated and rundown interior highlighting that the house needs a fair bit of work done to it to make it habitable.

In the bathroom tape is strapped over the toilet and sink basis warning people 'not to use'.

The cooker in the kitchen also has the same warning tape.

There's a conservatory, a garage, three bedrooms and a garden.

The advert on Zoopla suggests that it is "a terrace house requiring modernisation."

It adds that the house "is close to the amenities available in Swindon Town Centre and travelling facilities including Swindon Train Station."

And that "Shaw Forest Park is also nearby".

It has a leasehold for a term of 999 years from 14th November 1925 (thus having approximately 901 years unexpired).

The property has been advertised by McHugh & Co estate agents and auctioneers.
