FIREFIGHTERS responded to a fire at a home in Yate this morning. 

A blaze broke out at a property in Moordell Close at around 6.30am today, Friday, July 7. 

Crews used two jets and three high pressures to extinguish the fire, and 14 firefighters wore breathing apparatus.

A turntable ladder was also used. 

Teams from Yate, Kingswood, Temple, Southmead, and Bedminster attended the fire along with South Western Ambulance Service and Avon and Somerset Police. 

Five casualties were treated on the scene by ambulance and transferred to paramedics.

It is believed the fire was caused by accidental ignition.
