SPECTACULAR drag performers from the area are preparing to put on a show next month in support of this year's Dursley Pride.

The event - Dragsley On Tour - is an adult drag night with some performances containing explicit language.

Dursley celebrated its first ever pride event in August last year and now organisers are fundraising to make next year’s event even bigger.

This year’s Dursley Pride is due to take place on Saturday, September 23.

The Dragsley event is 18+ and takes place at Stonehouse Community Association on Saturday, September 2 at 7pm.

On the night there will be performances from drag queens including Neon, Salt, Sofria, Cake and Latina Ballroom.

All proceeds will go towards Dursley Pride, in collaboration with Stroud Drag Collective.

A spokesperson said: “Get ready for the ultimate drag extravaganza as Dragsley On Tour hits the stage, bringing fierce performances, fabulous costumes and more.

“Our talented drag queens will take the stage and leave you mesmerized with their incredible acts.

“Whether you're a die-hard fan or new to the world of drag, this event is perfect for everyone.

“Expect a night filled with laughter, high-energy music, and jaw-dropping costumes that will leave you in awe.”

Meanwhile, organisers Dursley Pride are dressing up as colourful inflatable unicorns in support of this year's event, which you may see around the district.
