STUDENTS and teachers from Rednock School are celebrating after receiving fantastic A Level results this morning.
More than 96 per cent of the cohort achieved a passing grade to enable them to go on to their chosen destination.
Meanwhile, half of all grades were A* to B or equivalent.
Students celebrating today included Sioltach McGingle who achieved five A*s, Simeon Gruber who achieved threes As and two A*s.
Helena Freeman also received three As, Megan Ashford achieved four As and Adam Peake is celebrating after getting three As and an A*.
Former headteacher David Alexander said he was 'so proud' of his students.
He said: “We are so proud of the fantastic achievements of Rednock students.
“Despite the fact that this group of young people had never sat public exams (after their GCSEs were cancelled due to the pandemic), there were some truly outstanding individual results.
“There were a number of students who have faced significantly challenging personal circumstances in the last two years in addition to the pandemic, but they went on to achieve or exceed their target grades.
“This demonstrates their resilience and perseverance as well as the excellent support they have received from their teachers and tutors.
“This year our students leave us for a mixture of university and apprenticeship places with most accepting their first choice of placement.
“We wish them every success and look forward to hearing about their future achievements.”
