FIREFIGHTERS are currently responding to a blaze in a village near Yate.
Crews from Avon Fire & Rescue Service are tackling a barn fire in Patch Elm Lane in Rangeworthy.
Meanwhile, residents living close by are being asked to shut their windows and doors.
A statement by the force posted at 5pm reads: “We're currently responding to a barn fire on Patch Elm Lane, Rangeworthy.
“Due to smoke in the area, we encourage local residents to keep windows and doors closed.
“Thank you to all local people for your patience while we deal with the fire.”
