A YOUNG child was rescued from a trapped car in Thornbury yesterday afternoon.
A parent accidently locked both their child and keys in a car on Eastbury Road, yesterday, Tuesday, September 26.
A spokesperson from Avon Fire & Rescue Service said firefighters from Thornbury managed to rescue the toddler using ‘small tools’ to gain access to the car.
A statement reads: “We were called at 10.09am on Tuesday, September 26 to reports of a toddler locked in a car on Eastbury Road, Thornbury.
“On arrival, crews from Thornbury found a parent had accidently locked their child and keys in the car.
“Firefighters responded quickly and used small tools to gain access to the car.
“Both the toddler and parent were fit and well.”
